A small selection of sites I have been involved with or like:

BHP – my favourite company, because they make a substantial contribution to paying the bills (and because they are nice people). If you’re a business support organisation looking to provide management support information or a major company targeting the SME market, these are the people you want to talk to.

HSBC – my favourite bank (for similar reasons). The HSBC Knowledge Centre is a pretty good example of the sort of content/site architecture I’ve worked on.

Marketing Donut – everything you ever wanted to know about marketing your small business. Working on the development of this site was the big project of 2008 for me.

Businesslink.gov – the government’s business support site (and another one I’ve contributed to). Not bad for a government site – particularly helpful if you need to know about regulations and government services – but they forgot the cardinal rule of effective business writing - write for your audience.

The Prince’s Trust – excellent charity offering support to young people, including help setting up a business. Well worth supporting with your time and/or money. I’ve been a business mentor for the Trust since the early 1990s.
